Watching the maple sugaring process up close
In this video from Jonathan Gates, taken in early April, we get to see how the sap from his large stand of sugar maples gets turned into the wonderful maple syrup for which Vermont is known. Here the storage tank is emptying into the pan where the sap will be tested for sweetness and boiled down into syrup.
